Amador Foothill will join 33 other Amador County wineries welcoming wine lovers Behind the Cellar Door for a Zin-ful weekend of wine, food and fun. The Amador Vintners’ 8th annual “Behind the Cellar Door’ event features barrel tasting, tasty eats and entertaining seminars and demonstrations at 34 Amador wineries, with an emphasis this year on Amador’s trademark wine: Zinfandel. Seminar events include comparative, vertical and library tastings of Amador’s renowned old-vine Zins; vineyard tours detailing Zinfandel farming practices; winemaking tutorials illuminating Zinfandel production methods; Zin-food pairing demonstrations; and much, much more.
